Prof. Dr. Eduard Jorswieck: Handel mit und Teilen von Ressourcen in drahtlosen Netzwerken

Resources as spectrum, energy, time and computational power are limited and scarce in mobile wireless communications systems.

Resources as spectrum, energy, time and computational power are limited and scarce in mobile wireless communications systems. Therefore, we need to treat them as such and allow them to be shared, lend, borrowed, traded and monetised. The proposed framework for resource sharing shows tremendous performance gains in terms of throughput, user peak data rates, reliability and user satisfaction.

Eduard Axel Jorswieck received his Diplom-Ingenieur and Doktor-Ingenieur, both in electrical engineering and computer science from TU Berlin, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. He was with the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich-Hertz-Institut from 2000 to 2006. From 2006 until 2008, he worked at the KTH as a post-doc and Assistant Professor in Stockholm, Sweden. Since 2008, he has been Full Professor for Communications Theory at TU Dresden, Germany. His interests are in the areas of signal processing for communications and networks, applied information theory, and communications theory. In 2006, he received the IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award.
